Feeling on guard or hypervigilant, even when nothing is wrong
Complex PTSD and Childhood Trauma Therapy in Oregon (Online)
I help adults in Oregon heal from complex PTSD (CPTSD), childhood trauma and PTSD through online therapy. Sessions combine EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Brainspotting, IFS-informed parts work and somatic approaches, at a pace that feels safe for you.
What complex PTSD can feel like
Feeling disconnected from yourself or your body, or losing time
Anxiety, shame or a harsh inner critic
Strong reactions that seem bigger than the moment
Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe in close relationships
Complex PTSD vs PTSD
PTSD often follows one frightening event. Complex PTSD usually grows from trauma that was repeated or lasted a long time, often in childhood or in close relationships, and it adds lasting difficulties with emotions, self-worth and relationships. The World Health Organization lists complex PTSD as its own diagnosis in ICD-11.
I work with “small t” and “Big T” trauma, relational and developmental trauma, and PTSD, including trauma related to military or combat experiences.
