Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Online in Oregon
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a structured trauma therapy that uses guided eye movements and imagery to help the brain store distressing memories differently. I offer ART online for adults in Oregon.

What happens in an ART session
You bring a distressing memory to mind while following guided eye movements. Then, with my guidance, you can replace the upsetting images with ones you choose, while keeping the facts of what happened. You stay in control throughout, and you don’t have to describe the details out loud.
Is ART evidence based?
Yes, with a smaller research base than EMDR. A 2013 randomized controlled trial with service members and veterans found ART to be a safe and effective treatment for symptoms of combat-related PTSD.
ART vs EMDR
Both use eye movements. ART follows a set structure, often uses fewer sessions, and adds a step where you replace distressing images. EMDR works through memories in more phases. I am trained in both and we can choose together.
Questions.
Can ART be done online?
Yes. I offer ART by secure video for adults physically in Oregon.
Is ART hypnosis?
No. You are awake, aware and in control during the whole session.
Is ART covered by insurance?
When your plan covers therapy, ART sessions are usually covered as therapy sessions. I am in-network with UnitedHealthcare and Aetna. See insurance and fees.
